The day
A discreet presence
My presence is discreet and caring — I work in absolute respect of your privacy and of the caregivers' work. Should anything unforeseen happen, I step away and leave the medical team its full space.

No! The whole point of offering this is to bear witness to the power of a birth.
I work at the Clinique de la Muette, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. I have built a relationship of trust there with the teams and the doctors.
That said, if your obstetrician is happy for me to be present at your birth, I'll gladly travel! It can be part of your birth plan.
If I happen to be at the clinic (I work there twice a week), I can make myself available.
If I'm not available, I refund the booking, of course.
I'm generally there for an hour: through the preparations for the birth, the caesarean itself, and baby's first care.
Of course. We can talk it through. I can also work in a surgical theatre setting.
